专利说明:

Prior art containers for bulk sales often include a front pick-up opening that is easily accessible to a customer who is in front of the container. At a rear part of the container a filling opening can be arranged. To reduce the risk of intrusion of foreign objects and particles, such as dust and debris, the pick-up and filling openings are usually provided with closing openable lids. To ensure easy access of the product through the pick-up opening, the container may comprise a bottom wall sloping downwards in the direction of the pick-up opening. When a certain quantity of goods is picked out, a corresponding quantity of the goods in the container slides down to the space near the picking opening, for easy access during a subsequent picking.
Some thus stored and provided bulk products have a tendency to emit fine-grained fragments as individual product objects rub against each other, especially during the movement that occurs during gravity feeding. In the case of loose-weight sweets, for example, sugar grains and smaller abrasion fragments of the candy object applied to the individual candy objects can come loose and mix with the candy objects in the container. The presence of such fine-grained fragments in the container is undesirable because they give a less attractive exposure of the product and can contribute to individual product objects sticking to each other. To reduce these problems, the bottom wall can be provided with continuous sieve openings which allow the smaller fragments to fall down through the sieve openings while the actual product objects remain in the container.
Brief Description of the Invention An object of the invention is to provide an improved device for storing, feeding and providing for picking out bulk products. Another object is to provide such a device which allows simple and ergonomically advantageous operation for store and service personnel.
Another object is to provide such a device which allows easy disposal of undesired particles, residues and impurities separated from the bulk product. Yet another object is to provide such a device which allows a hygienically advantageous operation. Yet another object is to provide such a device which enables a good exposure of the bulk product.
These and other objects are obtained with a device of the type stated in the preamble of claim 1 and which has the special technical features stated in the characterizing part of the claim. The device according to the invention is intended for storage, feeding and providing for picking out bulk products. Device comprises a container with side walls and at least one bottom wall which together define a storage space, a filling opening and a picking opening. The bottom wall extends from a front part of the container arranged at the picking opening to a rear part of the container and is designed to, by gravity feeding, move a bulk product of a certain minimum unit size in the direction of the picking opening. Bottom wall also has continuous sieve openings to allow particles of a size less than said minimum unit size to fall out of the storage space through the bottom wall. In accordance with the invention, the device comprises a collection tray releasably fixed to the container for collecting particles which have fallen out through the bottom wall. This makes it possible to easily dispose of the separated undesired particles which have been filtered off and fallen down through the bottom wall. Due to the fact that such particles are collected by the collecting trough under the container and that the collecting trough is detachable from the container, it is very easy to dispose of these particles by simply removing the collecting trough and emptying its contents into a waste container or the like. In addition, the removability allows the collecting tray to be easily washed or otherwise kept clean, which in turn contributes to good hygiene. A special advantage is obtained when the container is part of a group of containers intended for different product types. Such product types often generate different amounts of unwanted particles and residues. Thanks to the fact that each container is provided with a respective collection tray, the invention allows the various residual products to be disposed of as required for each product type and container. In this way, the service and maintenance work can be simplified and optimized.
The collecting trough is suitably detachably fixed to the container by means of fixing means which allow displacement of the collecting trough between a retracted position, in which the collecting trough covers the vertical projection of the screen openings and an extended position. This enables easy control of the amount of collected residual product without the collection tray having to be detached from the container.
The collecting trough is suitably displaceable from the retracted position in the rearward direction towards the extended position. As a result, the container and the collecting trough can be designed so that the forward-facing surface of the container, which allows exposure of the bulk product, does not have to be restricted to the application of handles or other means to allow operation of the collecting trough. In addition, this reduces the risk of customers 10 15 20 25 30 or other unauthorized persons accessing and pulling out or manipulating the collection tray.
The fixing means are suitably designed for releasing the collecting trough from the container when the collecting trough is displaced from the retracted position past the extended position.
This makes it possible for the collecting tray to be checked and, if desired, to be detached from the container with one and the same movement.
The fixing means are suitably designed for detaching the collecting tray from the container when the collecting tray has been displaced from the inserted position a distance which is less than the length of the collecting tray in the direction of displacement. Through this, a space saving is allowed since unloading of the collecting trough is allowed even if the distance from the container to a wall behind or the like is less than the length of the collecting trough.
The device suitably comprises at least one support member projecting in the direction from the bottom wall downwards and past the collecting trough, which is arranged to allow extraction and insertion of the collecting trough, when the container by means of the support member rests against a substantially flat surface.
The container can be lifted from its normal position at an exposure wall or similar and placed on a table or other flat surface for filling, cleaning and other service. Thanks to the support means, it is then possible to push in, pull out and remove the collecting trough without the trough being obstructed due to abutment against the ground. In this way, the handling during cleaning and other service of the container is facilitated.
The support means and the fixing means are suitably designed to allow interconnection of the collecting trough with the container by displacing the collecting trough in the direction of the inserted position, when the support means and the collecting trough rest against a substantially flat surface. This facilitates interconnection of the collecting trough after unloading, since the collecting trough is guided into the fixing means by the abutment against the substrate and does not need to be lifted or fitted by hand.
The device suitably comprises a locking means for releasably fixing the collecting trough in the retracted position. In this way, unintentional pulling and unloading of the collecting tray is counteracted.
The device suitably comprises at least one mounting bracket by means of which the container is fixable to a wall or the like and which mounting bracket is designed to allow substantially horizontal displacement of the container between a normal position pushed in the rearward direction and a service position extended in the forward direction. The mounting bracket allows placement of the container and especially several containers arranged in close proximity to each other in a manner advantageous for exposure of the bulk product or products.
The horizontal displaceability of the containers facilitates filling of bulk products and also pulling backwards and unloading of the collecting tray.
The invention also relates to a system for storage, gravity feeding and providing for picking up loose goods of various kinds, which system comprises a plurality of devices as above. Such a system allows advantageous storage, exposure, feeding and provision for picking out, for example, different varieties of similar bulk products. The devices included in the system may conveniently be placed against a wall in a matrix formation comprising vertical columns and horizontal rows of containers.
Further objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the exemplary embodiment and the claims.
Brief Description of the Figures The following is an exemplary embodiment of the invention with reference to the accompanying figures, of which: Fig. 1 is a perspective view obliquely from the front of a system comprising nine devices according to an embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view obliquely from the front of certain parts of one of the devices shown in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view obliquely from behind of the device shown in Fig. 2.
Fig. 4 is an exploded perspective view of a device according to the invention.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view obliquely from the front of certain parts of one of the devices shown in Fig. 1, when the device is placed on a flat surface.
Detailed Description of Embodiments Fig. 1 shows a system according to an aspect of the invention.
The system comprises nine devices 1 according to an embodiment of the invention. The devices 1 are arranged in a matrix comprising three horizontal rows and three vertical columns of devices 1. The system and each device 1 are attached to a vertical wall (not shown) by means of wall mounting brackets 10 which comprise horizontal beams 2 and fixing plates 3.
The fixing plates 3 comprise hook elements 4 which are arranged for engagement with corresponding recesses on, for example, a panel (not shown) which is fixed to a shop wall. If desired, the panel can also be free-standing, whereby the panel and the system can be placed on a store floor so that they form a demarcation between different store sections.
Figs. 2-5 illustrate one of the devices included in the system illustrated in Fig. 1. The device comprises a container 5, a collecting tray 30, and two fixing brackets 7 (only one is shown). The device 1 and the container 5 have a front portion 5 'which is intended to face a shop aisle or the like where the customers are placed when picking bulk products from the container 5. The device 1 and the container 5 also have a rear portion opposite the front portion 5. 5 ".
Fig. 4 shows a device according to the invention. In this device, the container 5 comprises a number of walls, comprising a rear wall 8, two side walls 9, an upper front wall 10, a lower front wall 11 and a bottom wall 12.
Walls 8-12 define a storage space for a bulk product. In the illustrated example, the device is intended to be used for bulk candy. The walls 8-12 also define an upper filling opening 13 and a lower picking opening 14. The filling opening 13 and the picking opening 14 are openably closed by means of a respective articulated lid 15, 16. The upper front wall 10 is arranged at a front part 17 which is fixed to the side walls 9. front edges. The front part 17 and the front wall 10 have respective recesses 17 ', 10' for receiving a bucket holder 18. A bucket 19 for picking out the bulk product is fixed to the container by means of a wire 19 'and can be placed in the bucket holder 18 when the pick-up lid 16 10 15 20 25 30 is closed. The container shown in Fig. 4 differs from the container shown in Fig. 2 by a partition wall 20, which is arranged in the container 5. The partition wall 20 delimits the storage space into two laterally arranged sub-spaces. In this way, two different types of bulk products can be stored in one and the same container 5. The container 5 is suitably formed in a transparent polymeric material which enables exposure of the bulk product through the container walls. Between the front wall 10 and the front surface of the front part 17 a space is formed which allows the reception of an information sheet (not shown) which is visible through the front part 17.
The container 5 is fixed to two pieces (only one is shown) fixing brackets 7 of the pull-out type. For this purpose, the container 5 is provided with laterally projecting fixing pins 21. The fixing brackets 7 comprise hooks 7 'by means of which they can be suspended on the horizontal beams 2 of the wall mounting brackets.
The bottom wall 12 of the container 5 slopes downwards in the direction of the lower front wall 11. In this way gravity feeding of bulk products in the storage space is effected so that the individual product units are moved forward towards the space directly below the unloading opening 14. In this way easy access of the bulk product is achieved. the pick-up opening. The bottom wall further has a number of sieve openings which allow small unwanted particles, such as abraded product fragments, dust and contaminants to be separated from the bulk product and fall down through the sieve openings 22.
The screen openings 22 are relatively narrow, so that individual bulk units of product with a dimension larger than the width of the screen openings cannot pass through the screen openings. The container 5 comprises two support members 23 projecting downwards past the bottom wall in the form of longitudinal vertical flanges.
The device further comprises a collecting tray 30 for collecting the fragments, particles and contaminants which have fallen down through the sieve openings 22 in the bottom wall 12 of the container 5. The collecting tray 30 comprises an unbroken bottom wall 31, side walls 32, a front wall 33 and a rear wall 34. The collecting tray 30 is releasably fixed to the container 5. For this purpose, the support means 23 on the container 5 comprise front 24 and rear fixing means. The front 24 and rear 25 fixing means consist of rearwardly open, horizontal, continuous grooves which are accommodated in the support means 23. The collecting trough 30 has corresponding front 35 and rear 36 fixing means in the form of laterally projecting pins.
The collecting trough 30 also comprises a locking member 37 in the form of an elastic movable element comprising a hook (not shown) and a grip part 38.
Figures 1 and 2 show the device according to the invention when the collecting trough 30 is in a retracted normal position.
The laterally projecting pins 35, 36 of the collecting tray are then received in the slots 24, 25 of the container 5 and are located at the respective front end of the slots 24, 25. The hook of the locking member 37 (not shown) is in engagement with a corresponding engaging member (not shown) which is arranged in the rear wall 8 of the container 5. The collecting tray 30 is thus releasably fixed to the container 5.
When the container is to be serviced, such as for filling and / or cleaning, the container 5 is pulled out to the extended position taken by one of the containers 5 in Fig. 1. The container can then be lifted by the mounting brackets 7 and placed on a substantially flat surface. In Fig. 5 this is illustrated by placing the container 5 on worktop A. The height and mutual vertical position of the support members 23 and the collecting trough 30 are adapted so that both the lower edge surfaces of the support members 23 and the lower bottom surface of the collecting trough 30 rest on the worktop A.
The collecting trough 30 can now be pulled backwards by first releasing the hook of the locking member 39 from the engaging member on the rear wall 8 of the container 5 by means of the gripping part 38. By continuing to extend past this extended position, the collecting trough 30 is released from the container 5 by removing the pins 35, 36 from the slots 24, 25. This can be used, for example, when detaching the collecting trough 30 when the container is freely suspended and the collecting trough 30 can be angled down. below the container 5. When the container is placed on a flat surface, as illustrated in Fig. 5, the collecting tray is pulled out completely until the front wall 33 of the collecting tray 30 has passed the rear edges of the support members 23. The collecting trough 30 can then be lifted away for emptying of residual fragments and cleaning.
When the collecting trough 30 is to be fixed to the container 5 again, the design of the support members 23 and the collecting trough 30's height and mutual vertical position means that the collecting trough, when abutting the worktop A, is automatically guided so that the fixing means 24, 25, 35, 36 engage in cooperating engagement.
As a result, no manual control of the collecting trough 30 is required, which considerably facilitates the operation.
The device according to the invention thus allows efficient collection of product fragments and impurities separated from the bulk product in a container. The material collected in the collecting trough can easily be emptied into a waste container or the like and the collecting trough can be cleaned. The invention also allows product fragments from each container to be collected and emptied separately. This is an advantage because different product types generate different amounts of product fragments, whereby the frequency with which the product fragments need to be emptied varies from product type to product type. The separate collection also allows separate recycling without mixing product fragments from different product types if desired. The invention further enables simple and ergonomically advantageous handling of the containers during filling, emptying and cleaning.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention have been described above. However, the invention is not limited to the above description, but can be varied freely within the scope of the appended claims.
